Love Disarmed Sterling Spoon Ring (Dainty Version)

My most sought-after pattern and a rare beauty indeed. The 1899 Love Diaarmed is the quintessence of art nouveau design and is considered the the most beautiful of all silverware patterns by many collectors.
Clad in a draping gown, Venus her self reclines within the petals of a large poppy blossom, it’s stems weaving around her form. Tiny Cupid peeks up at her from her side, love’s arrow in hand.
The amount of detail in this pattern is breathtaking and is proof of its original state. Since 1899 when this pattern first came out, it has been reproduced in the 1930s and again in the 1970s, but these replicas are a far cry from this original beauty. All detail is lost in the replicas. Only the original 1899 pieces have this level of crisp detail. Down to the ripples in her robe, the curves of her face, cupids arrow, The veins in the pedals which frame her form, and even her navel - all of these details or evidence that prove this piece is an original.
Definitely a treasure among all my treasures and a personal favorite.

Sizing options: 4 to 11 - this is a spiral spoon ring, so smaller sizes will further overlap. The spiral, and larger sizes will unwrap the spiral.

I love spoon rings. And I love hunting for the most beautiful spoons to make them! Spoon rings are a little wearable piece of history allowing the story to be shared and I love that these ornate beauties get to be enjoyed and not banished to some drawer, forgotten for decades.
All The rings I make are from the original antique spoons - none are copies or casts. So each ring is not only beautiful in design, but full of indications that it has lived life. Maybe a faded monogram or little wear spots - I enjoy thinking about the places they have been and who might have held them 100 years ago. Each ring is, therefore, truly unique. I have discovered more than one of some of these spoon patterns, so each ring will come with its own character and story, varying slightly on little wear spots and marks - There will not be two that are the same! I put care into the creation of each ring. I put thought into how the ring should best be shaped to frame and display the design of the spoon.
