Maiden Beneath the Blossom Spiral Spoon Ring
I like to think this pattern drew a little inspiration from Thumbelina with this happy little maiden dancing beneath the large blossom. Such a sweet, happy depiction.
Age: 1902 Alvin Raphael
Feel of the ring: medium feel spiral spoon ring. I used the entire handle to make this ring so I could include all the detail along the handle. This ring looks great in any size between 4 and 13! The ring in the picture is a size 6 but it can be sized up or down to fit.
Sizes available for this ring: 4 to 13 (photographed in size 7)
Metal: Sterling Silver
Oh, If Spoons Could Talk
I love spoon rings. And I love hunting for the most beautiful spoons to make them! Spoon rings are a little wearable piece of history allowing the story to be shared and I love that these ornate beauties get to be enjoyed and not banished to some drawer for decades.
All The rings I make are from the original antique spoons - none are copies or casts. So each ring is not only beautiful in design, but full of indications that it has lived life. Maybe a faded monogram or little wear spots - I enjoy thinking about the places they have been and who might have held them 100 years ago. Each ring is, therefore, truly unique. I have discovered more than one of some of these spoon patterns, so each ring will come with its own character and story, varying slightly on little wear spots and marks - There will not be two that are the same! I put care into the creation of each ring. I put thought into how the ring should best be shaped to frame and display the design of the spoon.
I hope the ring you choose will be a piece you treasure for generations.
